Relate
In this project, we introduce small group networks, in which groups are connected through participation in small group activities that build towards larger collaborative outcomes. We demonstrate small group networks through Relate, a platform for team bonding through short, fun and collaborative activities. As teams play, they also contribute to generating, ranking, and discussing ideas around community topics.
Compass
While mentorship relationships offer many career benefits to college students, student access to mentorship is often restricted due to limited numbers of available mentors. To address this problem, we introduce Compass, a chat-based platform where industry professionals mentor large cohorts of 50+ students with the support of novel features that enable full engagement without the typical chaos of group chat.
AI Painting
There are many great works done in image generation. However, it is still an open problem how to generate a painting that meets the aesthetic rules in a specific style. Therefore, in this paper, we proposed a system called AI Painting, which can generate a specific painting based on users’ inputs. The system first produces an original image from content text to generate the painting, then transfers the image into a specific aesthetic effect and simulates the image into a specific artistic genre. At last, it generates a short video that animates the painting process.
A Disambiguity Framework for SVCD
SVCD(Smart Voice Controlled Device) has increasingly become popular over the world, where about 100 million people are using it. People tend to manipulate multiple appliances with a single SVCD. In some contexts, multiple users might give voice commands to one SVCD simultaneously. It is likely to make commands ambiguous. However, current SVCDs can not address these problems. Therefore, we propose a novel framework for SVCD to eliminate orders’ ambiguity for both single and multiple users.
